About
The mission of the Digital Graphic Design Technology program is to teach individuals communication skills in print and digital media in order to meet the growing need for layout professionals in the growing sector of in-house marketing departments in all areas of industry. Students will acquire the knowledge, skills, and portfolio needed for employment as a designer and/or layout technician. This field involves the use of specialized software combined with creativity, design, and problem solving skills to create visual communication.
Students will develop skills in design & layout, desktop and digital publishing, illustration, web, tablet, and app design, digital photography, presentation, animation software, and printing preparation technology. Students will learn the procedures and techniques for using special equipment such as digital cameras and scanners.
Certifications Available: Adobe Certified Associate (ACA)
