About
The mission of the Digital Graphic Design Technology Program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for employment in the graphic design profession. The program emphasizes conceptualization, layout, design, illustration, advertising, and digital and multimedia preparation of printed and electronic promotional materials. Graphic design is a creative process which combines art with technology to communicate ideas and information. The course provides instruction and training in designing and producing any media which is printed in hard or virtual copy. Graphic designers and digital technical illustrators excel in the use of various software programs, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Acrobat and Animate. Students will develop skills in design & layout, desktop and digital publishing, illustration, web, tablet, and design, presentations, animation, and printing preparation technology. Students will develop proficiencies in layout and design, digital publishing, printing preparation, app design, animation software and presentation of media.
