Welding Technology

About

The mission of the Welding Technology Program is to equip the student with the technical knowledge and “hands-on” skills necessary to prepare the student for employment within related welding fields. Students enrolled in the program will be trained through classroom instruction and various types of practical welding exercises within an industrial type- setting environment. Students master the welding techniques for applications and the physical properties of metal, the effects of heat, thickness allowances, shrinkage, basic joint design and layout. Students are encouraged to seek certification to improve employment opportunities.
